About the Ball: A rare 1996 Rawlings World Series Ball WITH the Selig Commissioner's stamped signature. Important to note - Selig was not yet the elected Commissioner in 1996, he was selected to fill the office on an interim basis.
The Official 1996 WS has NO commish stamp. This was simply either a prototype, or possibly a gift given to Selig. There are several of these floating around out there however, and some are confused for actual game balls.
