About the Ball: A misprint or prototype for the actual County Stadium Final Game Ball. The commemorative stamp has some reversed colors from the actual game ball stamp.
This may have even been a practice version, as it has the "China" manufacturer's stamp on the reverse above the sweet spot. There are versions of this ball on regular leather, without the China stamp. This is clearly a lower grade leather that's common with practice balls and Minor League Baseball balls that are sewn in China.
The actual official game version of the Brewers County Stadium ball is pictured here. There is also an extremely rare version of this ball manufactured for the original intended final season of County Stadium in 1999, that ball was actually used even though the stadium ended up lasting another full season. You can find this rare, 1999 County Stadium Final Game Ball in our galleries as well.
