About the Ball: Images have just been released for the Official 2010 Rawlings Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game Ball. This ball will be used for the game in Anaheim, California, at Angel Stadium on July 14, 2010.
As predicted, practically a mirror image of the 2009 All-Star ball. Blue and Red laces, dark navy blue print.
Unfortuante for those who anticipate a new and unique ball each year. Fortunate for Rawlings Sporting Goods, which probably has plenty of extra bulk blue yarn spools lying around the factory.
Back to back years of the same model of ball is especially disappointing to those collectors who watched for each year's All-Star baseball release since the early 90's. 1995-1997 saw three identical color patterns in a row of red and blue lace plus blue ink, and 1995-2000 saw a monotnous 5 in seven years! Bleh.
